The running track at Duke of York Square was transformed into Chelsea’s answer to Murray Mount as it hosted a free screening of the Wimbledon finals live on a big screen between 1pm and 7pm on Friday 1- Sunday 3 July 2011.
Tennis fans were invited to bring blankets, deck chairs and picnics to pitch up in front of the 15m ² screen to cheer on the finalists as they do battle at the All England Club.
Spectators were able to indulge in the ultimate Wimbledon accompaniment of strawberries and cream, as well as taking advantage of an open air bar serving quintessentially British drinks and a delicious BBQ offering snacks throughout the day. In addition, special limited edition luxury picnic hampers were also be available from the luxury food store, Partridges
The 3 day event was a great success and even through Mr Murray didn’t make it through to the big final. We look forward to seeing you all again next year!
