A guest post from Liberty London Girl

I am very excited that, along with the Official RHS Chelsea Flower Show Judges, I am once again going to be judging this year’s Chelsea in Bloom competition. This beautiful alternative floral art show that accompanies the Royal Horticultural Society’s Chelsea Flower Show is a highlight in my calendar!

Chelsea in Bloom is an opportunity for the retailers of the Royal Borough to compete to create the most imaginative constructions, formed entirely from fresh flowers and plants.

This year the theme is Creation in Colour – a journey through fashion, food and lifestyle, so very open to interpretation. We’ll be judging the participants on creativity, flair, and their use of fresh flowers, as well as their take on the theme.

It’s a great opportunity to explore the area around Sloane Square, Sloane Street, and Duke of York Square as there are all sorts of fun things going on, including ‘Poppy Up’ themed pop up from The Botanist,–serving al fresco oysters and champagne on Sloane Square, to support the Royal British Legion in the centenary year of WW1, as well as a custom-made maze for visitors to explore and a ‘Secret Garden’ on Duke of York Square; the perfect location for visitors to relax and unwind in the sunshine.
