The Saatchi Gallery is set to reopen this September, following the blockbuster ‘Vision & Virtuosity’ Tiffany exhibition, with four brilliant must-see shows.
1-12 September & 21 – 24 September
A presentation of the works of eight international artists exploring New Forms through a range of unconventional media including tufted carpet, electrical wires and ropes, sheet steel, PVC, mattresses and pseudo umbrellas. This free-to-attend display is an entertaining riff upon the classic notion of painting and sculpture. Pre-booking not required.
An experiment in spontaneity, the exhibition has been inspired by both the way in which the show has come together and the speed in which the works have come into being. Free to attend, the display breaks the traditional long-planning process and was curated instinctively by Benjamin Murphy and Nick JS Thomspon.
