Eggs of an Era

Seven giant egg-shaped masterpieces created by leading artists will arrive in Chelsea on 16 May to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

Together, Clarence Court Eggs and charity, The Elephant Family have joined forces to create this egg-citing trail across the neighbourhood before being auctioned later in 2023 with sculptures to be found at Duke of York Square, Pavilion Road and Sloane Square.

Each egg of unique design will represent a different decade of the Queen’s reign, masterfully created by artists. Here’s where you can find them:

  • Emily Powell and Tatiana Alida on Pavilion Road
  • Patricia Mitchell, Sasha Compton and Rebecca Campbell on Duke of York Square
  • Simon Emery and Ozlem Thompson on Sloane Square

The Eggs of an Era campaign, whilst being a wonderful way to celebrate our extraordinary monarch, aims to raise awareness of conservation by highlighting the impacts of poaching and collectability. Each egg, a collectible piece of art in its own right, will be auctioned next year where the proceeds will be used to support conservation work across South Asia. It is also a brilliant precursor to the Big Egg Hunt UK, a large scale and high-profile fundraising event returning in 2023 – the world’s largest interactive egg hunt!

Follow the trail around Chelsea to find each of the seven eggs, on display from 16 May to 12 June 2022. Download the map here.
