Well-travelled coffee by Vardo

If travelling the world via Vardo’s extraordinary menu of global flavours is a favourite of yours, then it’s time you discovered their latest arrival – well-travelled coffee from The Galapagos.

The team have travelled the world (safely, of course) and sourced the best quality coffee beans from farms and cooperatives where production if sustainable, community minded and carefully crafted. This led them to their latest discovery and the very special release of Galapagos Volcánica – coffee beans grown by four women on the island of Santa Cruz: Maria Elena Guerra, Maria Kastdalen, Marina Caiminaga and Teresa Gaona.

Volcánica is described as an explosion which showcases the uniqueness of the Galapagos and breaks misconceptions in that the higher the altitude, the better the coffee, Volcánica was grown at just over 100m above sea level. Sip on yours and expect flavours of starfruit, ripe apricot and pecan praline with hints of mulling spice and sticky toffee pudding – that’s a yes please from us.

This latest release is also a nod to Caravan’s partnership with 1% for the Planet which sees them donate 1% of their total revenue each year to environmental non-profits which are working to create a healthier planet. To celebrate, they are also supporting the Galapagos Conservation Trust, the UK’s largest environmental charity specifically focusing on the famous archipelago, with a donation of £2,500 to their work.

Find yours online here or at Vardo for £15 (180g specially designed tube) or £50 (1kg coffee bag).
