World Sleep Day with Aesop

The perfect excuse to cuddle up under a duvet and have a nap, World Sleep Day, falling this year on 19 March.

Over the last year, those suffering from insomnia rose from one in six to one in four, with worry, anxiety, isolation and excess stress taking its toll. As we juggle the consequences of the pandemic, our sleep is more important than ever for our mental, physical and emotional health and so this year, we are paying closer attention to this national day. Plus, who doesn’t love a national day where celebrations involve a gentle snooze!

We caught up with the Aesop team at Duke of York Square for their expert tips on achieving the perfect night’s kip;

  1. Prepare the bathroom by playing an Aesop playlist and burning the Callippus Aromatique Candle.
  2. Draw a bath with a few drops of Breathless body oil under running water with a few pumps of Geranium Leaf Body Cleanser. Blend Parsley Seed Cleansing Masque with Parsley Seed Anti-Oxidant Facial Treatment to create a rich concoction for face and neck area. Immerse yourself in the bath tub for complete relaxation and hydration.
  3. After your bath, rinse the Masque off with warm water and a towelette. Apply your favourite Aesop face and body hydrator. Finish off by spraying Immediate Moisture Facial Hydrosol all over and Ginger Flight Therapy to your wrists.
  4. One hour before bedtime, spray Istros Aromatique Room Spray to ensure the lavender aromas have settled into the space.
  5. Lastly, apply vitamin-rich Sublime Replenishing Night Masque for sustained, overnight hydration. Wake up the next morning feeling well restored and refreshed for the day ahead.
