To gin lovers worldwide, the 8 June is a day to celebrate. Whether a traditional Gin and Tonic is your tipple of choice, or you are feeling more a adventurous drink, join us at the Square as we toast one of the nation’s favourite spirits.
Manicomio’s newly redecorated bar has an extensive gin offering (from £9.50). From a traditional G&T to a Sloe Gin (rested on wild slow berries and rosemary, topped up with classic tonic) or Portobello Road (hot white pepper, heavy berries, juniper and soft lemongrass with tonic, basil and a slice of orange), there is something for when you’re feeling adventurous or just want to play it safe. For something a little stronger, their Martini selection is brilliant too; try the Aviator (Hayman’s Old Tom Gin, Marasquin liquor, fresh lemon and Violette) for a modern take on a cocktail menu favourite. Happy hour runs between 5-7pm each Monday-Friday, offering half price cocktails and house spirits. There’s no excuses now!
Prefer your Gin in the comfort of your own home? Partridges have their two exclusive Chelsea Flower Gins (from £32.95). Two different flavours and two beautiful bottles which will look wonderful on your drinks tray. The first flavour contains 19 different botanicals and the subtle flavour of rose has been used to commemorate the historic association between flowers, nurseries and the King’s Road making it a wonderful celebration of the area’s heritage. The second has been infused with bergamot and commemorates the Royal Wedding between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. Make sure you pick up the accompanying tonic £4.75) too.
