This month, Mark Sanders Art Consultancy presents an exhibition of Wolfe von Lenkiewicz showcasing his exceptional new works from 13-19 November. His paintings present an alchemical reaction between the real and the imagined, intersecting genres of history and the natural world to create works that are visually arresting and highly original.
The organic forms in his works include gold, glass and crystal and he embellishes copies of recognised originals such as Rembrandt’s 1640 Self Portrait. One of the highlights includes a vast 4×10 metre canvas based on Rembrandt’s ‘The Night Watch’. This significant piece, along with the rest of the series, allude to a secret society of alchemists.
