We've Found Your New Favourite Florals
With Chelsea in Bloom around the corner, get set for the shops and restaurants to come alive with magnificent floral displays to this year’s theme, Under the Sea. We’ve pulled together our most coveted florals from the Square, everything from blooming blouses to botanical cocktails.
Window-browsing requires fuel, so head to one of the Square’s restaurants to soak up the wonderful atmosphere on their terraces. Many have exclusive Chelsea in Bloom menus and delicious cocktails to help you get in the mood.
Polpo are offering their white peach and rose petal Bellini and a selection of menu specials which include; risi e bisi – a classic Venetian pea and mint risotto; a grilled asparagus, goat’s curd and speck bruschetta; a fennel, mint and orange salad; and for something sweet, a strawberry panna cotta. Fresh and floral.
Both Manicomio and Manicomio Café also have special menus perfect if you are after a languishing lunch or a quick bite to eat. Dishes at Manicomio Café include seared yellow fin tuna, rocket and cherry toms as well as an incredibly indulgent strawberry cheesecake for desert. Manicomio, however, have a set menu (£29.50 for two courses or £34.50 for three) which includes a watercress and wild garlic soup and a chargrilled organic salmon accompanied by smoked aubergine, sesame and broccoli. Why not treat yourself to a glass of champagne or their limited edition cocktail, Blooming Mule (Hendricks Elderflower, Cucumber and Ginger Beer)?
The warmer weather means it is also time to get your legs out in the sunshine. Try this midi skirt from new arrival, Free People, (£88) and float around the Square in between the beautiful installations.
Or pick up this dress from Belgian brand, Essential Antwerp (£230). Perfect to take you from day to night this summer. We love it!
For something a bit special – either as a gift to a loved one, or just yourself (!) – Monica Vinader should be a must-visit. Why don’t you try their Nura Reef bracelet (£195) inspired by this year’s Chelsea in Bloom theme, Under the Sea.
Searching for some edible flowers to take home with you? Look no further than Partridges who have not one, but two types of Chelsea Flower Gin (£32.95 each) and a tonic (£4.75) to accompany as well as Chelsea Flower Tea bags (£2.95).
