The Spectrum Art Prize at Saatchi Gallery

For only two days, 1-2 May, the Spectrum Art Prize exhibition will be on show at Saatchi.

The Spectrum Art Prize provides a platform for autistic artists to speak about the challenges they face and how their autism impacts upon their lives and their families. As well as raising the profile of autism, Spectrum also wants to leave a lasting legacy for the participating individuals so they are not defined by their condition or diagnosis.

The exhibition is a remarkable and rare insight into their perception of their world, their hopes, their fears and enables them to highlight their condition through all mediums of art. This fantastic collection of artworks has emerged from selection out of open submission and gives the artist a chance for their works to be seen equally, outside of preconceived expectations of authorship and origins.
