The food of love…
There’s a fabulous range of food and drink treats to enjoy in the Square and something for everyone this Valentine’s weekend.
Instead of buying a traditional bouquet of roses, why not surprise your other half with a rose themed treat to eat or drink instead? Comptoir Libanais has a fresh rose mint tea that can be enjoyed as part of a leisurely Valentine’s Day afternoon in the Square. The restaurant also has a Valentine’s rose water and ginger cheesecake which is perfect to share with a loved one, as well as rum and prosecco cocktails with rose syrup. Delicious!
If you’re after something relaxed but in a more formal setting, head over to Gallery Mess at Saatchi for a Valentine’s Day brunch. With unlimited prosecco or champagne, there’s a range of delicious sharing plates, including truffle scrambled eggs and salmon sashimi, and a mouth-watering chocolate and beetroot cake with cracked black pepper crème fraiche to enjoy.
Elsewhere at the square, Manicomio will be offering their full a la carte menu, a great choice for a Valentine’s meal you won’t forget.
Visit our Fine Food Market this weekend for a wonderful spread of meat, bread, pastries, chocolates and more to choose from. Whether you’re after savoury or sweet this Valentine’s, the market is a great stop as part of a romantic walk through the local area. Look out for sumptuous smoked salmon from Hansen and Lydersen and mouth-watering French pastries at Comptoir Gourmand. We’re particular fans of the chocolate from Simply Handmade and delicious Maldon Oysters, which will be a perfect accompaniment to a romantic weekend.
