Saatchi’s latest exhibition is due to set sail later this month at the Square. On from 13 June – 13 July, The Diamond Sea (inspired by a song of the same name from US post-punk band Sonic Youth), features romantic pieces from contemporary painters based in London.
Each piece on display is connected by a romantic ideology, all in contrasting colours and artistic styles. Highlights include Freya Douglas-Morris’ Chorus Of One, in a relaxing palette of cool blue shades, and Gareth Cadwallader’s View From the Sailor Girl II, an unusual still life within a landscape setting.
