From the 12th to 18th May, the Saatchi gallery will be showcasing artist Kim Il Tae’s first ever European exhibition of Korean gold art. Painted in pure 24 carat gold, these paintings are influenced by Oriental philosophy, themes of love and compassion and the clarity of gold Buddha statues. These pieces act as a fresh contrast to the Rolling Stones exhibition and it’s clear to see why Kim Il Tae has become renowned for his experimental work.
