We are excited to announce that Polpo, the award-winning Venetian restaurant, opens the doors to their new Duke of York Square venue this Monday (18 May). Polpo describe themselves as a ‘bàcaro’ – a humble restaurant serving simple food and good, young local wines.
With the buzz on Duke of York Square reminiscent of the courtyard squares of Venice, Polpo will be right at home. This will be their fifth restaurant, after Beak Street (opened in September 2009), followed by Covent Garden, Smithfield and Notting Hill. Polpo has received the Michelin Guide’s Bib Gourmand for the last five consecutive years and was awarded 2 Rosettes in the AA Guide for Culinary Excellence 2013-2014.
This is what is people have said about it: “Polpo is the hottest table in town” – Marina O’Loughlin, METRO; “Brilliant” – Jay Rayner, The Observer; “This one’s a winner for sure” – David Sexton, Evening Standard; “It is inspiring when done this well’ – Rose Prince, Daily Telegraph; “One of the most exciting eateries to open in London” – Richard Vines, Bloomberg.
We are delighted to say Duke of York Square has now re-opened. Our first priority is to provide you with a safe and secure environment so we have reshaped your visitor experience to enable social distancing.
When entering a shop at Duke of York Square, you are required by UK law to wear a face covering from 24 July 2020 until further notice.
Thank you for your cooperation.
