From 3-21 October, explore Rashid Khalifa’s London debut exhibition, Penumbra: Textured Light, Coloured Shadow. Khalifa invites the viewer to experience the beauty of textured shadows and light cast through polychromatic, 3-dimensional metal structures.
Aluminium mesh wall works, steel grid mobiles and a monumental maze form the basis of this immersive exhibition at the Saatchi Gallery, inspired by architectural grids and geometric structures. In recent years, Rashid has experimented with metal surfaces, creating openings in his aluminium wall works, revealing the intimate space behind the surface which is usually kept out of view. The exhibition, Penumbra: Textured Light, Coloured Shadow, takes this approach one step-further, exploring changes in special experience depending on the viewers position.
The gallery is open from 11am – 6pm, 7 days a week so make sure you pop in and visit this exciting and immersive exhibition whilst you can.
