L.K. Bennett has just launched a limited edition shoe collection which we can’t wait to get our hands on, designed with their charity partner, Women for Women International. Available to purchase at their Duke of York Square store, these gorgeous hand embroidered shoes are perfect for your new season wardrobe, with 100% of the sales proceeds donated to the charity.
Women for Women International works with female survivors of war to help re-build their lives, particularly those who are socially excluded and extremely poor, living in conflicted countries. LK Bennett chose to work with the charity since it shared so many of the brand’s own values – celebrating women as strong, powerful role models.
LK Bennett invited some of the charity’s Kosovo based training graduates – where the charity has supported over 30,000 women so far – to create three pairs of limited-edition shoes, featuring traditional design techniques that are used to create Kosovar folk dresses. The dedicated team of ten chose to create stylish ballerina flats, individually embroidering hearts upon each pair as a peaceful symbol and naming the shoe the ‘Zoja’, after a graduate of the Women for Women International programme.
We love the sophisticated pink pair, but why not go for a glittery silver or navy shade for a new season party look with a twist?
