On 7 December, between 4.30-6.30pm, one of the most energetic pop culture figures of the last 20 years, Jamie Hewlett will be in the Taschen store for a book signing.
He is famously known for co-creating the virtual pop group of animated characters, Gorillaz, who have gone on to produce five albums, and Tank Girl. His talents have won him a number of awards; in 2006 he was named “Designer of the Year” by the Design Museum and in 2009 he won a BAFTA for the animated monkey sequence he co-created for the Beijing Olympic Games.
His book, ‘Jamie Hewlett’, explores 25 years of his work through over 400 artworks ranging from strips, sketches and works from his first solo exhibition at the Saatchi Gallery in 2015. This is the perfect opportunity for Gorillaz fans, animation obsessives or those looking for a quirky and unique Christmas gift – so, don’t miss out on getting your signed copy.
