Craving a taste of the Mediterranean? Worry not – Italy is coming to the Square.
From 1 June to 8 June, Partridges will be holding Italian week to emphasise just how special authentic Italian produce really is.
Each day, visit the store for guided tastings – learn the source of the ingredients, potential recipes and expand your knowledge of the Italian cuisine. Fantastico!
On Saturday 2 June, visit the weekly Fine Food Market at the Square for a tasting of pasta and tomato sauce. Who doesn’t love pasta?
There are a number of other events taking place. Book tickets for these to develop your taste buds and knowledge of fine wines and delicious oils. On Tuesday 5 June, 7-9pm, the Umami Club will be hosting a wine tasting session. Learn about seven different wines and their food pairings from the different regions in Italy. Tickets cost £25 and can be bought here.
The following evening, 6 June, 5.30-7pm, Charles Carey from The Oil Merchant, one of Partridge’s most longstanding suppliers, will lead you through a tasting of some Italian oils. Perfect with freshly baked bread or drizzled on top of pizza, salad or pasta. Tickets also cost £25 and are available here.
