New kid on the block, Hayley Menzies definitely isn’t a wallflower. The brand’s bright, vibrant womenswear is definitely one for the maximalists. We caught up with founder Hayley to talk lockdown 2.0 and how to not miss a minute of our new favourite brand.
Welcome to Chelsea! What made you choose Duke of York Square?
“Duke of York Square is a destination and a place that visitors hang out in for hours at a time – shopping, lunch or drinks. I love that considered blend of luxury and contemporary stores.”
Sadly lockdown 2.0 has just started, how will you be spending the next four weeks?
“Packing boxes to fulful our online orders as my team will all be working from home. And, excitingly, putting the finishing touches to the AW21 collection!”
Do you have any work from home style tips for our readers?
“It’s all about the cool knits. We’ve just launched super chic and cosy knitted skirts and tops for a more polished lockdown. But our happy, colourful jacquard knit dusters and cardigans are the ultimate pieces for lounging at home.”
How can we stay immersed in all things Hayley Menzies over lockdown?
“Instagram first and formost where undoubtedly I’ll be chatting away from the studio and sharing my favourite lockdown looks.“
Where are you most looking forward to visiting when lockdown is over?
“I should say my parents place, but I want to go to Costa Rica for three weeks to practice, yoga, detox and chill… it’s during these trips I find inspiration for the next collection. I need these trips to reset.
What can we look forward to from Hayley Menzies in 2021?
“THE most incredible SS21 colletion… it’s the actual dream. And, who knows, I have that feeling that anything is possible right now. There’s so much I want to do – my brand has a strong DNA that can be applied to many new lines… and I’m not short of ideas!”
