The Chelsea in Bloom experience wouldn’t be complete at Duke of York Square without a tempting selection of special themed menus to indulge in. Whether you’re after afternoon tea for two or a delicious cocktail, our selection of restaurants will tempt you with their range of Floral Safari themed beverages and bites.
If it’s a sunny day during Chelsea in Bloom week (22-27 May) at the Square, why not take a seat outside Gallery Mess? With seating available outside and overlooking the gorgeous green, it’s the perfect excuse to soak up a few rays and enjoy the atmosphere. Try a botanical cocktail upon arrival and feast upon dill gnocchi, poached Yorkshire rhubarb and bergamot and juniper cured sea trout. This menu truly reflects the traditional, British Chelsea in Bloom celebrations that the local community has enjoyed for the last 12 years.
For a traditional afternoon treat with a twist, we recommend the Gardener’s Tea, also available at Gallery Mess. The delicate finger sandwiches, homemade scones with rose petal jam and violet macaroon flowers are ideal for friends to enjoy during a shopping break, or even as a decadent pleasure for one.
Manicomio will also be spoiling us with their delicious Chelsea in Bloom themed menu. Offering an array of bites inspired by Italy including Sicilian rock melon, Pugliese burrata and wild garlic pesto, this restaurant is a perfect choice for enjoying a balmy summer’s evening among the safari inspired displays in Chelsea.
And if you’re something a little stronger, why not indulge in a tempting vodka lemonade at Comptoir Libanais? There’s no better time than during Chelsea in Bloom week to try their Vodka Roza concoction with rose syrup, bound to tantalise your taste-buds.
We want to reassure you that your safety is paramount to us and measures are in place to protect you.
