Chelsea in Bloom is back! The annual floral festival returns from 21 – 26 May. Duke of York Square, the King’s Road, Pavilion Road, Sloane Square and Sloane Street will be transformed as, in the biggest year yet, over 60 shops, restaurants and hotels compete in this year’s competition creating beautiful displays with fresh flowers. This year’s theme is ‘Summer of Love’; inspired by the romance of the Royal Wedding, as well as a wider concept embracing the original ‘summer of love’ in the ‘60’s and ‘70’s. It is a theme rooted in the local area – from the Palace to the King’s Road. Plus don’t miss the huge giant floral love heart taking place in the Square (thanks to florist, Maison de Fleurs), blasting everyone with love from day-to-night.
Now in its teens (13 this year!), Chelsea in Bloom is the complementary alternative to the prestigious Chelsea Flower Show. Enjoy a romantic wander around the area to discover a wedding ring, a wedding breakfast and more as Chelsea has been hit by Cupid’s arrow!
See if you can find your ‘perfect match’ in Duke of York Square as a host of stores compete for the best floral displays including Trotters, Monica Vinader, Links of London, Dubarry, LK Bennett, NARS, Polpo, Lucas Hugh, Dermalogica and Rigby & Peller. It is so exciting to see so many competing for the first time!
Don’t miss out on a number of activities and special menus during the week either. Window browsing is hungry work; tuck into Manicomio’s new spring dish featuring a delicious courgette flower, or the exclusive Chelsea Fiore cocktail from Polpo and Gallery Mess offering a special Chelsea in Bloom menu, your favourite flavours with a botanical twist. Delicious!
