We’re so excited to welcome Stephen Fry who will be storytelling at Tara on Duke of York Square at 3pm on Thursday 18. He is one of a number of celebrities who will be reading from the late Mark Shand’s bestselling book ‘Travels on My Elephant’ throughout the month of June. Some of Britain’s best-loved personalities will read to hundreds of London’s children and other members of the public, inspiring the next generation of conservationists.
A huge array of delightful mini elephants have been created by the Elephant Family; pictured are ‘Jasmine’ (top), ‘Strawberry’ (left) and ‘Almond Blossom’ (right). They are available to purchase from a number of retailers on the Square including Partridges, Monica Vinader, Brilliant Inc. and Neck & Neck. All of the afore-mentioned retailers, along with Gallery Mess, are also distributing the ‘Ella-phant Colouring In Competition’ sheets.
The Ella-phant competition is being run by the Elephant Family, along with sponsors Maclaren, inviting children across the UK to submit a design for Ella the baby elephant. The winning design will be interpreted by a top creative who will paint Ella, who will then travel to Sotheby’s in New York City to be auctioned on October 27 to benefit Elephant Family. (The winning designer will win a bounty of Maclaren and Elephant Family goods.) For further information see the Elephant Family’s website.
We are delighted to say Duke of York Square has now re-opened. Our first priority is to provide you with a safe and secure environment so we have reshaped your visitor experience to enable social distancing.
When entering a shop at Duke of York Square, you are required by UK law to wear a face covering from 24 July 2020 until further notice.
Thank you for your cooperation.
