Beat Blue Monday

January should be a month of positivity; a new year and an opportunity for a new start. Sadly the post-Christmas blues, cold dark nights and pressure to stick to your New Year’s Resolutions have created ‘Blue Monday’, 20 January when supposedly, our moods have hit a low. Here are our top well-being tips to beat the blues.

Stay active. Monday means run club – join Anthony Fletcher, or “Fletch” to the regulars, for a complimentary track session at Duke of York Square. Get those endorphins flowing after a Monday evening sprint session on the track where Roger Bannister achieved his famous sub four-minute mile.

Make sure your diet is filled with all the essential nutrients and vitamins your body is craving. Have you considered Veganuary? Find out what delicious dishes are on offer here.

Remind yourself that self-care is not selfish and enjoy one of Dermalogica’s expert skin treatments. Book a ProSkin60 which uses advanced technologies to produce dramatic results for your skin so you’ll start January with that sought-after glow. Book here.

Pull on your PJs and spend the afternoon on the sofa. Flip through the glossy pages of “Great Escapes: Italy” from Taschen and plan your next getaway to look forward to. Get your copy here.
