A little Bond brilliance
It’s Oscar’s month. On 27th March, the winners will be announced at the 94th Academy Awards and the most recent Bond film, No Time To Die has been nominated not once, but three times: Best Sound; Best Original Song and Best Visual Effects.
It’s Bond’s wardrobe though, rather than award nominations (although, these are still exceptional), that we want to focus on. A long-time style icon famed for his tuxedos and ability to look effortlessly cool in sunglasses (despite multiple injuries), the most recent Bond, Daniel Craig was tasked to reinvent his style. Working with Oscar-award winning costume designer Linda Hemming, he did just that. His new signature look? In Sunspel.
Recognise the Riviera Polo Shirt, spotted first in Casino Royale? Working closely with the team, this classic piece has been made since the 1950s however a bespoke fit was designed for specifically for Bond; shorter in the length, shorter in the arms to show off his muscles and a deep navy to show off his eyes! So whilst this design was entirely unique for Daniel Craig, it is in fact available now in store and is an absolute essential for any quintessential gentleman and aspiring Bond!
He has also been spotted in the grey melange t-shirt and the white v-neck t-shirt in Casino Royale whilst for Quantum of Solace, Sunspel proudly provided his underwear.
Eternally-stylish and backed by Bond, Sunspel is epitome of everyday elegance. Shop the Bond collection here and in store.
