Burtynsky: Extraction/Abstraction Lates

Time is running out to catch Saatchi’s blockbuster exhibition, only open until 6 May. And for those looking for an even more thought-provoking and inspiring experience, there’s only one more opportunity to experience a Saatchi Late.

Book tickets for the last in the series on 26 April, where for £10 per ticket, this Art After Dark experience will celebrate Threads of Change: Art, Conversation, Action and Art from Nature: Dendritic Monoprinting.

The striking images that form Extraction/Abstraction ask what we can do collectively to confront the ongoing climate crisis and in an act of collaborative making, ticketholders are invited to create a large scale-artwork using recycled materials whilst engaging in conversation on these global issues that we must address with paramount importance. Rug making (in this instance, ‘rag’ rug making), is often seen as a space for open conversation and the hope is that together, guests will work together to create a beautiful rug, and come together to create a better world.

Ticketholders will also have the opportunity to explore the remarkable natural forms and patterns seen in his images using dendritic printing, and using recycled and organic materials, guests can create their own work.
