Summer Menus on the Square

Summer has arrived and brought with it a host of new menus, bursting with the flavours of sunshine. Here’s where to book, indulge and feast this month.  

POLPO

Relax on the sun-soaked POLPO terrace whilst indulging in a host of new dishes. Fish courses include a ‘Whole seabass with citrus vinaigrette and the Octopus tonnarelli’ that’s perfect for sharing, and elsewhere we highly recommend the crostino topped with roasted stuffed chillies, aubergine and parmesan. Add a little colour to your table with the ‘Panzanella salad’ and for those looking for the perfect sweet treat, the new ‘Panna cotta and strawberries’ will be your best idea yet.

Vardo

With a list as long as your arm of exciting new menu additions, Vardo’s newest highlights include ‘Prawn ceviche with coconut, ginger, coriander and lime and ‘Aubergine with seasoned rice, pickled daikon, charred edamame, sesame carrots, ginger wasabi sauce and shichimi’. Mouth-watering desserts now cannot be missed –  try the burnt basque style cheesecake with crème fraiche and poached blueberries for an excellent choice.

Manicomio

If you haven’t already read about Manicomio’s summer menu here, the terrace is the perfect spot for sophisticated dining this season. Start with the tiger prawn Caesar salad or beef fillet carpaccio, before welcoming plates of sunshine-filled flavours including hake fillet, with a sicilian caponata or burnt cauliflower with wild rice. And of course, you will be ordering the sell-out zucchini fritti – some things should never change.
