Through The Looking Glass

If you haven’t seen ‘Flowers – Flora in Contemporary Art & Culture’ at Saatchi yet, where have you been? This must-see show has taken over our Instagram feeds and, to make it even more exciting, Freddie Garland, founder of Freddie’s Flowers, and his team are bringing a breathtaking large-scale floral installation to the Saatchi Gallery.

Using translucent clear acrylic, the design will create a striking tablescape and architectural structures, highlighting the vibrant greens and pinks of flowers such as anthurium, orchids, hydrangeas, and magnolia branches. Magnolia twigs symbolize endurance and a graceful connection to nature, while the minimal foliage of other architectural stems reflects clarity and simplicity.

The installation contrasts beautifully with Sophie Mess’ Journey of Progress mural, enhancing the dialogue between art and nature. Flowing seamlessly from the table to the walls, Through The Looking Glass shows how flowers can breathe life into even the most industrial spaces.

Watch the setup from 10am on 28 March with set for around 4pm, with visitors then being able to enjoy the creation during Saatchi Lates from 6.30pm to 9pm on 28 March or during regular gallery hours (10am – 6pm) until 30 March.

Tickets to Flowers must be booked here.
