Through The Looking GlassFreddie Garland, founder of Freddie's Flowers, and his team are bringing a breathtaking large-scale floral installation to the Saatchi Gallery
As one of the most successful and sought-after artists in Britain, Saatchi Gallery is so excited to announce the return of Gary Bunt, with a showcase of new pieces on display from 4 – 9 March.
‘Marrows, Spuds and Onions’ touches on the years Gary spent growing up throughout Sussex and Kent, surrounded by his family. He reminisces of the times he spent working on building sites, describing the days as long and hard but he recalls many fond memories he spent with his father and seven uncles. His artwork touches on the different seasons from packing into cars on cold winter mornings, to longing for the Spring to arrive and it was in remembering these moments from his childhood that he felt inspired to create work based on old sayings. For added reflection, each painting is accompanied by a poignant poem or familiar sayings on the reverse of the canvas.
Admission is free and pre-booking is not required.
